Sizing & fit

Who is Own Terms for? Women over forty who dress for themselves and want clothes cut for the body they have now — proper shoulders, a waist where theirs is, sleeves that reach the wrist — with honest sizing you can check before you buy.

What is the Fit Check? Five things we check on every piece (shoulder seam, waist position, sleeve length, hem position, fabric drape) plus the garment measured laid flat, per size, in centimetres. It's on every product page under the product description.

How do I know where a hem will land on me? Every product page shows the measured garment length in centimetres, per size, and a note on the height it was measured against. Compare it with a piece you own — that's the most reliable check. Our Fit & Size Guide explains how.

What sizes do you carry? Most styles run from XS to XL (UK 6–16). The size chart with bust, waist and hip measurements is on each product page.

Delivery

How long does delivery take? We dispatch within 1–2 business days (Monday to Friday). Delivery takes 6–10 business days (Monday to Friday) after dispatch. You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel ships.

How much is delivery? Standard UK delivery is free on every order.

Will I pay customs or import charges? No. Prices include UK VAT and there are no extra charges on delivery.

Where do you ship? United Kingdom only, for now.

Returns & exchanges

Can I return something? Yes — within 30 days of delivery, unworn with tags attached. Email info@owntermslondon.com with your order number first and we'll send the return instructions.

Can I exchange for another size? Yes. Tell us the size you need and we'll arrange the swap.

Who pays return postage? You cover the return postage unless the item is faulty or not what you ordered — then we do.

When will I get my refund? Within 7 days of your return arriving with us, to your original payment method.

Orders & payment

Which payment methods do you accept? See our Payment Policy for the full list — it matches exactly what you'll see at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order? Email us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't been dispatched yet we'll change or cancel it; after dispatch, please use the returns process.

Is checkout secure? Yes — payments are processed by Shopify Payments with full encryption. We never see or store your card details.
